1998 Happy Christmas Miss King
Happy Christmas Miss King (Canadian title An Avonlea Christmas, french-Canadian title Joyeux Noel, Mlle King) is the “reunion movie” of the hugely successful Road to Avonlea television series produced by Kevin Sullivan in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The television movie aired on December 13th, 1998, two years after Road to Avonlea finaled in 1996. The movie reunites part of the original cast for a Christmas celebration during World War I in Avonlea.
The movie was nominated for three Gemini Awards: Best Supporting Actress: Mag Ruffman, Best Direction, and Best TV Movie or Dramatic Mini-Series, but Road to Avonlea fans were largely disappointed by the film itself. [1]
