Anne of Green Gables is a television movie produced and directed by Kevin Sullivan for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The film aired on CBC Television as a two-part miniseries on December 1, 1985. The film aired on PBS in the United States on February 17, 1986. It was released in theatres in Israel, Europe and Japan.

The film is followed by Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (1987), Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story (2000), and Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning (2008).

The film won 10 Gemini awards in 1986, an Emmy Award, and numerous other awards. The first airing of the two-part mini-series is among the highest-rated programs of any genre ever to air on a Canadian television network.
