Susan Baker’s Butterscotch Cookies

Ingredients
2/3 c shortening
2 c brown sugar
2 Eggs 3 C Flour
1 c nuts — finely chopped
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
1. Mix sugar and shortening. Add eggs, nuts, sifted flour with soda, salt and baking powder.
2. Chill in roll, slice and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes
