Warning: This timeline contains SPOILERS.
Timeline based on Anne 1 and Anne 2.
This timeline is consistent with information from Anne 2, and also from Road to Avonlea.

1900 - [Anne 1 ends] Anne is 16. Has obtained a teacher’s license from Queen’s Academy, and will teach in Avonlea.

1903 - [Anne 2 ends], Anne is 19. Anne leaves Kingsport and publishes her book. Gilbert recovers from typhoid. Anne and Gilbert are engaged.
Timeline based on Anne 3 and Anne 4
(NOTE: There is a major timeline discrepancy between Anne 3 and the previous films. Sullivan claims that Anne 3 takes place “five years after Anne 2″, setting back the ending of Anne 2 from 1903 to 1910. This does not correspond to information given in Anne 2, or in the Road to Avonlea TV series.)
1890 - Gilbert is born (image on epitaph, Anne 4).
1910 - [Anne 2 ends.] Anne and Gilbert are engaged.
1915 - [Anne 3 begins] Anne is in her twenties, has been teaching in the Hopetown orphanage for the past five years, since Marilla died. Anne and Gilbert have been engaged for a number of years. (Titles on screen, 1915)
