Hey there!
I’m currently doing a biography of Maud as part of my project, and I have to do a reference list (APA).
I need to put the author of this site because I used this site for information, and needs to credit you. Please email me your name or whatever you want to be put in on my reference list.
Thanks!

I just discovered those website and I am delighted! I’ve never suppposed the page like this exists. It’s wonderful:D I do love Montgomery books. Anne, Pat, Jane stories and some others books I’ve read several times. And I just decided to find and read these books translated to Polish that I haven’t read so far.
It’s great to see someone who is so much passionate about Montgomery work!
The maps of the places from Montgomery books are amazing. And it’s so cool to see the book covers from different countries.
The books of Montgomery are the big part of my life. And it makes me dream about visting Prince Edward Island. I believe it must a beautiful place.
The tv show based on “The Story Girl” was my favourite show when I was a child. I have taped it on video and I still like to watch it;p
Thanks for your hard work to create those website:) I’m going to visit it often:)
Best regards from Poland!

I just found this site and I couldn’t be happier about it! I recently started reading Anne - again, for the umpteenth time - and suddenly found myself surfing the net searching for the literature referenced in the series. Thank you for your hard work, I only started and noticed it really is not easy to find the texts! You’ve made this so easy on me, now I can just sit back and enjoy, so thank you.

Hello :
We just have to let you know - WE LOVE YOUR SITE!!!
UPDATE: On your site you have included You Tube links to girls that auditioned for Anne of Green Gables in 2007. Well, the fourth link from the bottom (Emily W’s Audition for The Next Anne Shirley) is Emily our daughter - age 13 now. Emily got the role of Anne in Anne of Green Gables “the Musical” at the University of Waterloo, Theatre of the Arts at the end of May 2009 with KWCDW theatre group! This is a dream come true for her - she is so happy and excited!!! Thank you for including her on your site! Trudy and Emily as Anne Shirley :o)

Hello Bets,
You have a great site going on here. I can’t wait until the annotated e-texts are up. Thanks for all your hard work! I found a minor mistake on “The Road to Yesterday” page. Susette is spelled with a ’s’ and not a ‘z’, and I don’t think it was ever mentioned she was Jem’s ex-girlfriend, only that he had a “youthful passion for [her].”

Hi Bets,
This is a wonderful contribution to the web.
I’m Jason from PEI. My wife, who’s Montgomery scholar from Japan and I have the largest Anne of Green Gables collection online including licensed L. M. Montgomery first edition book cover postcards.
P.S. A comment on Amy’s Feb 11th post.
That is very nice. We are having a baby and the wife wants to call her Anne if she’s a girl. One of our customers named her baby Avonlea which is one I’m going to save for the next round.

Can anyone point me to a thorough discussion of the short story “Some Fools and a Saint”? When I got to the last paragraph I was unsure if the “her lover” was referring to Jock or Curtis.
I would assume that it was Curtis, but the story has taken so many twists I was not sure. Jock was described as a “half-wit”. But earlier in the story Lucia says, “Jock, you know, isn’t really half the fool he looks.”

this site is amazing. i came across it trying to find an image of the cover of my childhood edition of rainbow valley, which isn’t actually in your gallery of covers as far as my memory serves, but this is absolutely beautiful. whenever i think of anne, i feel an ache of nostalgia for when i would read under my covers with a flashlight until i fell asleep facedown on a book and when nothing was more lovely and sad and serene and perfect than anne’s story. now i barely have the chance to read at all.

What an incredible website you’ve created - congratulations!
I didn’t realize before this that I own the first publication of “The Blue Castle”, given to me by a friend of my mother’s. Unfortunately, it’s in no condition to be of any value. To date, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read that book.
Your Blue Castle link contains so much fascinating /relevant information. I’ve always believed that this book is truly an unrecognized classic – I’m curious to know Maud Montgomery had planned or had drafted more books like this. It’s mentioned in the link, that she was encouraged to do so.

Hi!
I loved your site because i’m a huge “Anne” fan. Are you going to finish writing the sources to all the Anne of Green Gables Novels phrases? I hope you do–SOON! Also, why can’t I paste things from your website on to Microsoft Word? I wanted to because on word I can change color, font, and font size before printing. And I could save more paper. Anyway, I hope you add more features to your site!!

my dear, dear Anne lover! there aren’t enough words to voice out how amazed and greatly impressed I am by your wonderful sire, which does not resemble in the least any other Anne site I have ever visited! you put on your site every piece of information that rasied the slightest curiousity amongst Anne lovers, and your work of research is remarkable and admirable. I truly admire you, with all honesty. no need to say you are already bookmarked on my server and you can bet on seeing me browsing through this site as often as I can, anticipating for updates. I want to thank you, thank you so very much for the information you put in your extraordinary site. items like timelines in the characters lives, Anne books in various additions and languages, quizzes, comparisons between the Anne books to L. M. Montgomery’s journals, missing parts and addition to the final additions of the books etc, all just show you are truly devoted to Anne and are really curious about everything involving her, much like myself. again, thank you so so much!

Beautiful site, very informative, and very interesting! I had a good time looking through the book galleries and reading up on the timelines. I also had a good time doing your quizzes…though I am sure the Merediths came from Maywater, not Maywood, and it was Mrs Matilda Pitman who gave Jims $1000, not Miss Amelia Evans. But a very well-worked site, LMM would be proud of it!

Hello. I’m a grad student researching Montgomery, and I stumbled onto your site looking for info about the story “Some Fools and a Saint”. In this site, you mention that Montgomery published this story adding references to the Blythes. Where did you find that information? Do you know where I could get a copy of that edition of the text? I think it might be important to my thesis.
